A German man tried to enter a design competition by scanning a QR code on a bottle of Heinz Ketchup. What he saw next shocked him!
The competition ran from 2012 to 2014 and when it finished Heinz let the related domain lapse. This year it was purchased by another company.
Not realising the campaign had finished German man Daniel Korell scanned the code on his newly purchase bottle of ketchup. He was, to put it lightly, surprised to find himself at a hardcore porn site!
Daniel informed Heinz on Twitter and Heinz apologised and sent him a gift. But in a magnificent marketing coup he was also offered one years free membership by the sites new owners!
